We need an ambitious, highly-skilled and hands-on leader to support our growing 60+ store retail organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting and Business Systems, this individual will manage our current P2P functions, while also identifying and implementing best practices to modernize our accounting department and accommodate future growth. Strong leadership and mentorship skills are essential to proactively influence and guide the team.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and improve the accounts payable function, from procurement through payment
Design and implement effective internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, integrity of data, and safeguarding of assets
Support close processes and audits, including reconciliations and analysis of accounts
Be a strong resource for the CFO and department heads by providing budget tracking, account analysis, and streamlined payables processes.
Develop a high functioning efficient and responsive team through strategic hiring, performance management and process optimization
What You'll Bring:
Broad understanding of business processes and all areas of retail accounting in a privately-held company
Ability to interpret, analyze, and organize complex information, such as contracts and service agreements, providing key information to support decision making
Ability to drive new policies and procedures for a rapidly growing company in a collaborative way
Obsessiveness about meeting deadlines and following through on commitments
Love of problem solving, with ability to perform root cause analysis, provide options, and implement solutions
Adaptability to changing business requirements with proven success working in a growth environment
Strong organizational skills and excellent oral/written communication skills
Excellent expert-level Excel skills
BS/BA in Accounting, or related field
5-10 years relevant experience
